Brett & Meagan’s Wedding Part I {Southern California Wedding Photographer}

I first had the pleasure of meeting this sweet couple when Rita asked me to come along & second shoot for their engagement shoot at the Lakeview Horse Ranch. It was so fun, and I always appreciate it when Rita takes me along & continues to teach me all that she can & helps me to be a better photographer & a better person. Love ya, Rita!! And as for this couple, Brett & Meagan, I wish you all the best in everything. I was blessed to come along & capture your wedding day. Thank you!

I’ll use this post to show off the pre-wedding fun & the first look. Post II will display the ceremony & reception fun! ;)

Some of the guys…

We were laughing at Brett with his Gold Bond powder on the desk while he was writing his vows! :)

They incorporated burlap & lace into so many details…and I LOVE IT!

While I loved the simple sweetness of the bridal bouquet, I also adored the pops of color in the bridesmaid’s bouquets.

The boutonnieres looked great with these earthy wood chips.

As a pretty traditional gal, I didn’t do a first look at my wedding (of course, I don’t think it was so popular back then…14.5 years ago!!). And I’ve been a bit put-off by the idea of a first look, after all, shouldn’t they wait til they are coming down the aisle to see each other??? It’s TRADITION!! haha! BUT, for the last several weddings I’ve had the pleasure of shooting, they have all chosen to do one (one couple decided 2 days before their wedding!) and I can say that they haven’t taken ANYTHING away from that moment of walking down the aisle. I mean really…how could I possibly be WRONG? What’s up with that? But, as much as I still believe it is a personal decision, I have actually come to appreciate them. It’s a sweet moment for the couple to get to see each other before the guests & to have just a quiet moment together. Just them. Alone. And a few paparazzi. hehe

Haha…LOVE this! I told him he couldn’t turn around just yet…because she was coming!!! He couldn’t contain the smiles!!!

A quick moment of prayer with their pastor before the wedding. It doesn’t start better than that, in my opinion. :)

Check back soon for the ceremony & gorgeous details from the reception!! :)
